San Francisco is a heavenly place to be young. Mark Twain said so 150 years ago, and it's still true. Whatever your tastes--high, low, or middle--there's something there that's just for you. And it's beautiful; one of the dozen or half-dozen most beautiful cities in the world. If you're going in the summer though, remember it's often foggy and chilly. Most days you'll need a sweater or a light coat. Check out the neighbourhoods, the parks, North Beach, the zoo, the museums, the incredible variety of restaurants, bars, bistros, and delicatessens. Gays are the norm, and they're everywhere, but whether you notice them or not is up to you.
