Southern Pride.....Who's proud to have it?

Not a racist question. I know blacks who are proud to be southern. What part of our lovely land of Dixie are you from? Is your part of the south also being invaded by yankees and Floridians too. We have a saying here in North Carolina: "This time instead to bringing destruction the Yankees are bringing construction."
