What do you think of this Monopoly innovation?

Okay, so the premise of Monopoly is to buy all of the properties and build a monopolistic hotel empire. What if you didn't have to be a hotel mogul? Imagine if you could choose what type of company you would want to be, each having their own positives and negatives. For instance, you could be a technology mogul. It could cost more to buy properties for you, but you could also make more money from said properties. Thoughts?
