Should i let my bearded dragon free roam?

I habe a 2 foot bearded dragon and i want to let him free roam my room with my iguana. i know your not supposed to do this but they were caged together for 4 years and there was never a problem, so should i let my beardie free roam with my iguana if i have the proper lighting and baskins?
