Did Jerry Seinfeld have a meltdown at the Oscars with his popcorn over the top attack?

He didn't have a meltdown, but he was a little over the top. He took so long, though it was very entertaining, that I found myself wondering if he wasn't auditioning to be the host again next year. It was almost as if he was say, "If you want funny, HERE'S funny!"
