HELP with makeup career.?

I want to go into movie makeup, SFX, fashion, character... i wanna do it all. But before i get into training for that i need to complete my BFA. What kind of cles should i be taking to give me a better background before i head down to makeup school. drawing?, molding? sculpture? What kind of materials should i be working with?... chalk pastels? latex? clay? prosthetic hair? HELP!! any videos or good books?
