Microphone crackling issue?

I have a very expensive rode nt1a condenser mic that is barely a year old and just out of warranty. I want to know if I can fix the crackling sounds that are now happening when recording vocals? If such a fix exists can you provide me a ball park? I'm weighing whether it would be best to go out and purchase another one or to fix it (sentimental value). Any help would be useful...it's worked great for a year..now even with two pops screens I still get crackle.
